The Ciccolo
Family
Foundation.
Established by Ray Ciccolo to honor two families: his own, and the family he had built at Village Automotive. Both have played central roles in everything we have built. The foundation is how we say thank you.
"At Village, we care about people, not just cars. The foundation is how we extend that beyond the showroom."
Where the work goes.
Education
Scholarships for first-generation college students, vocational and technical training grants, and direct support for education programs in the neighborhoods where Ray grew up. Cambridge Public Schools, North Shore Community College, and a quiet endowment for the children of Village team members.
Historic Preservation
Cambridge buildings Ray walked past as a kid. The Italianate facades on Mass Ave. The Old Cambridge Baptist Church. A standing donor for the Cambridge Historical Commission and the Cambridgeport History Project. We don't put our name on plaques — we just write the checks that keep the bricks in place.
Sustainability
Every Village rooftop that can host solar panels, does. The Volvo Cars Danvers and Honda Village campuses are net-positive energy producers most months of the year. The foundation also funds urban-tree initiatives in Cambridge, Salem, and Newton — and supports the Village team's vehicle electrification training so we keep up with where the industry is going.
Direct Community Support
Share the Warmth winter coat drives across all ten Village campuses. The Boston Lobsters tennis team partnership. Holiday meal sponsorship for North Shore food banks. Match-funded employee giving — every dollar a Village team member donates to an approved cause is matched by the foundation.
By the numbers.
Every Village purchase contributes.
The foundation is funded primarily by the Ciccolo family directly, with a recurring contribution drawn from the dealership group's earnings each year. We don't surcharge customers, ask for donations on contracts, or "round-up" your invoice. The foundation runs because the cars run.
What that means in practice: every car you buy from Village, every service ticket you bring in, every coffee you drink in the lounge — quietly contributes to the foundation's work. You aren't asked. You don't see it on a line item. It just happens.
If you'd like to know more about a specific initiative, contribute directly, or partner with the foundation on a project, we're easy to reach.
